‘Down Life Boulevard’ is the self-produced debut album from Nowhere Brothers. This collection of original tracks was recorded at the Pyramix Studios in Phoenix, capturing the Arizona desert vibe. Both artists are contributing with distinct vocals, a unique alchemy where Nick’s Americana/Roots touch blends with Fiore’s Blues/Rock style; duelling harmonica and guitars (from Dobro to Lap Steel) are the duo’s trademark. The burdens of a life spent far from the motherland and the beloved ones (Nowhere Brothers, Montenegro Diaries, Soul Mirror) are recurrent themes in Down Life Boulevard, contrasting with the deep love for the open spaces and the need for desert solitude (Dust Walker). The barren Southwestern lands are the backdrop to tales of outlaws crossing the border walking on the same Used Boots and the contemplation of men who can't find freedom, even out in the desert (Stillness). Love is the only redemption (Night, I am One) questioning the wandering instincts. The closing track (Bearing Your Name) is a reflection on the conflict between the individualism of living on the run, and enduring the rules of society.
